Important Update

We are looking forward to the exciting month of October, the best time of year for a Ghost Walk through Davidson. We are generally very busy during October and we may be running a second walk starting at 9 PM on Friday and Saturdays through the month. If your group is interested in the later weekend time for your Ghost Walk from 9 - 11PM please contact us for information.

A Ghost Walk is a guided walking tour of the town with a twist. You will receive a guided historic tour of Davidson, NC, a lovely, small town rich in history and folklore, while listening to the local history, ghost stories, and local hauntings. The walking tour lasts about 1-1/2 to 2 hours and you will be walking less than 1 mile. The walk is on brick sidewalks with marked pedestrian crossings and handicap accessable curbs and walks.


Location

Ghost Walk Tours begin nightly at 7:00 pm in front of the Soda Shop, 104 S Main St. in Davidson, NC. See map for location or click map to get driving directions.


Pricing

Adults - $10.
Children ages 8-12 - $5.
Children under 8 - Free
We are only able to take cash at this time. We will have a PayPal link on this site soon for those who wish to prepay and have a PayPal account. Unfortunately we are unable to accept debt or credit card payment.

Davidson

In 1835 Davidson College (now called Davidson) was founded by the Presbyterian Church, a committee of the Presbytery of Concord start planning the college and town in 1835. The College opened its doors in March 1837. Businesses were first on land leased by the college. You will learn more about the history of Davidson on our ghost walk, as well as hear ghost stories, and see local hauntings. Davdison is a very walking-friendly community, designed more for pedestrian traffic than vehicle traffic. There is lots of beautiful open greenspace and park-like setting as you walk through the town. Our walking tour lasts about 1-1/2 to 2 hours and you will be walking less than 1 mile. The walk is on brick sidewalks with marked pedestrian crossings and handicap accessable curbs and walks.

Ginny is the creator of Ghost Walk of Davidson and a lover of ghost walks herself, having been on dozens of ghost walks throughout many parts of the country. She has lived in the Cornelius - Davidson area for most of her life and has studied the local history and folklore.
